Whilst having a clear out Andrew found his old Apple Macintosh SE in the loft. This model was released around 1989 and retailed at nearly £3,000 back then! I think he may have been a designer for quite some time! It now has pride of place, on display in his office.
This 1980s SE FDHD came with 4Mb RAM and a 20Mb hard drive (our latest Mac has 24G gigabytes of RAM and a six terabyte hard disk). It was also the first personal computer to feature an internal ‘SuperDrive’, a floppy disk drive that could handle a 1.4 Mb high density floppy disks. The disk that went on to become the standard for all PCs.
